All of our birthstone jewellery is handcrafted in our studio using ethical gold, silver and Platinum handmade in the traditional way.
Birthstone jewellery was worn in ancient times by many traditions, customs and beliefs. Traditionally a birthstone is associated with each month of the year, as the origin of the 12 birthstones is believed to date back to the breastplate of Aaron which contained twelve gemstones representing the twelve tribes of Israel and the 12 signs of the zodiac.
Wearing birthstone jewellery is believed to protect the wearer and each having their own gemstone meanings, and each magical birthstone is more powerful during the month they are associated with and it was custom to own all twelve birthstones and wear them in jewellery to bring good fortune, therefore increased magical powers to the person during their own birthstone month.
